Large Greco-Persian agate scaraboid seal

Description

Ca 200 B.C. Greco-Persian honey colored agate scaraboid seal. The Hellenised East has produced wonderful artifacts and carved gems and seals are one of the highly collected areas of the period.
There is a crack in the corner of the gem but it does not go through to the other side. The gold mount is ca 1880
