Maker: Gavriil Petrovich Grachev Firm of goldsmith founded in 1866 and after his death his sons Mikhail and Semen took over the business. Under the name Grachev Brothers the firm received the Imperial Warrant in 1896.The firm survived till 1917.
The silver hallmarks are the small circular head of a maiden with the “kokosnik” / decorated Russian head dress/ denoting that tax has been paid , Makers mark of GP Grachev in Cyrillic with the double headed eagle denoting the Imperial Warrant, and the No 84 marking the standard quality of silver used in Russia.
